Add your phone number to Entra ID for alternate sign-in

There may be times when your primary authentication service (such as Duo) experiences an outage. Linking your phone number to your Microsoft Entra ID account gives you an alternative way to verify your identity so you don't lose access to your ICOM apps.

To add your phone number:

1. Go to myaccount.microsoft.com and sign in.

2. Select Security info in the left sidebar

3. Near the upper left area of the main screen, select Add sign-in method.

   

4. Select the Phone option from the drop-down menu.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions by entering your phone number and specifying whether you want an SMS message or a phone call to receive your sign-in code.

6. Enter the verification code sent to your phone number to complete the setup.

7. Once you have a phone number on your account, you will have the option to use other methods to authenticate into ICOM apps and services
