This article will walk you through how to get DUO Mobile set up as an MFA method for Microsoft EntraID.
Step 1:
- Go to https://aka.ms/mfasetup and sign in using your ICOM email and password.
Step 2:
- Select "Approve with Cisco Duo."
Step 3:
Select "Get started."
If you already have a DUO account set up, you will only need to authenticate with DUO in order to connect DUO to your Microsoft account, then skip to "Extra Step 18."

Step 4:
- Select your preferred way to MFA. We recommend setting up two ways, with "Touch ID" being our first recommendation.
- Skip to Step 9 if you aren't setting up Touch ID or Face ID.
- Select "Touch ID."
Step 5:
- Select "Continue."
Step 6:
- Select "Continue."
Step 7:
- Use your Face ID or Touch ID fingerprint to allow your browser to verify your identity.
Step 8:
- You have successfully added Touch/Face ID as an MFA method for Duo.
Step 9:
- Select "Duo Mobile" to get Duo set up on your phone.
Step 10:
- Enter your phone number and select "Continue."
Step 11:
- Verify your phone number is correct.
Step 12:
- Download Duo Mobile from your app store, then select "Next."
Step 13:
- In your Duo app on your phone, select "Continue," then "Use a QR code."
Step 14:
- Scan the QR code on your computer with your phone.
Step 15:
- You've successfully added Duo as an MFA for Microsoft EntraID.
Step 16:
- You can test your MFA by selecting "Log in with Duo."
Extra step 17:
- We suggest setting up an extra MFA through Microsoft. To do so, go to https://myaccount.microsoft.com/ and select "UPDATE INFO" under "Security info."
Extra step 18:
- Select "Add sign-in method."
Extra step 19:
- We recommend setting up a phone number to receive a call or text.
Extra Step 20:
- Enter your phone number and select "Next."
Extra Step 21:
- Enter the verification code sent to your phone number.
Extra Step 22:
- Your secondary MFA is set-up.
