Here at ICOM we use WebEx almost exclusively for video conferencing. However you may need to meet with individuals outside of the school, and you may be invited to use their video conferencing preference. This is a basic tutorial for joining a Zoom meeting, turning on your camera and microphone, and sharing a presentation.
Join a Zoom Meeting
1. Select Join Zoom Meeting from the Google Calendar invite
2. Select Launch Meeting
3. Select Join from Your Browser
4. Select Unmute
5. Select Start Video
6. Enter Your Name
7. Select Join
8. Select Unmute
You can enable the microphone from within the meeting here if you have not already.
9. Select Start Video
You can enable the camera from within the meeting here if you have not already.
Additional Windows
Select Participants
This will open a window displaying everyone in the meeting.
Select Chat
This will open a window with the text chat for everyone in the meeting.
Sharing a Presentation
Select Share Screen
Select the screen, tab, or window you are presenting, and then select Share. Select Stop Sharing to end the presentation.
