1. Open the Styles Pane:
- Go to the Home tab on the Ribbon.
- To the right of the Styles group, there is a Styles Pane icon that will open the Styles pane.
2. Create a New Style:
- Click on the “New Style” button that is below the Current Style.
3. Define the New Style:
- The Properties window is where you define your style, you can set various formatting options such as font, size, color, alignment, line spacing, indentation, and more.
- If you have already formatted your headers, make sure you have selected one of the headers before you choose New Style. All you need to do is name your Style.

- Click “OK” to save your new style.
- To apply the style, place your cursor in the paragraph you want to format or select multiple paragraphs.
- In the Styles pane or the Styles group on the Ribbon, click on your new style to apply it.
