macOS 10.15 Catalina - End of Life
Support Ending November 30, 2022
- ICOM IT is phasing out support for computers still running Catalina on November 30, 2022.
- On October 25, 2021, Apple released their current operating system macOS 12 Monterey. In keeping with Apple's release cycle, we anticipate, macOS 10.15 Catalina will no longer receive security updates starting in November 2022.
- As a result, we are phasing out software support for all computers running macOS 10.15 Catalina and will end support on November 30, 2022.
What do I need to do?
Verify your version of macOS by clicking the upper-left Apple symbol > About This Mac. This article is for users on macOS 10.15.
To ensure our ability to continue to support your computer after November 30, 2022, please select one of the options listed below:
OPTION 1
Upgrade via Software Update
The latest version of macOS will appear in System Preferences > Software Update. Plan on the upgrade taking around 30 minutes to install.
OPTION 2
Request an upgrade performed by ICOM Technicians
If you would like to request an upgrade by our technicians, or if Software Updates is not working, please submit an upgrade request.
Once complete, please navigate to the Apple > About This Mac and verify your version is 12 or later.
Please Note: If you do not upgrade your Catalina macOS 10.15 computer, it will not receive security patches or functionality updates. Unsupported computers limit our ability to assist you.
