This article outlines what actions you need to take to preserve Google data as you transition from Student to Alumni.

What to expect
Any data saved in or linked to your ICOM Google account will be deleted 90 days after commencement. When your account is deleted, you will lose all access to data stored by Google.
What files are stored in Google?
Google stores data for many apps you may be using. Some of these apps include:
- Google Drive
- Gmail
- Docs, Sheets, & Slides
- Contacts
- YouTube
- Others
Deadline
Approximately 90 days after graduation, your Google account and related data will be deleted.
What you need to do
- Save files you want to keep to a non-ICOM location prior to the deadline.
- The easiest way to save your data is to download all your data to your iPad, after it has been unmanaged. See: Unmanaging Your iPad After Graduation
- You can also save your files to a personal computer by navigating to drive.google.com and downloading your files manually.

- Consider any services or subscriptions you have started using your ICOM email address. You may want to associate a personal email account with them to avoid access disruptions.
