Switching your MFA from JumpCloud Protect to Duo

This article will walk you through how to switch your Multi-factor Authentication app from JumpCloud Protect to Duo.

Step 1:

• Download DUO Mobile App:

Step 2:

• Login to your JumpCloud Console:

Step 3:

• Navigate to the "Security" Tab in JumpCloud:

Step 4:

• Click on "Set Up Authenticator App":

Step 5:

• Select "I have an App":

Step 6:

• In your DUO Mobile App, select "Use QR Code":

Step 7:

• Allow Duo Mobile to access your camera so you can scan the QR code on your JumpCloud Security screen:

Step 8:

• Select "Next," then "Next" again:

Step 9:

• Use your icom.edu email as the "Account name" and select "Save":

Step 10:

• Set a password, then select "Next":

Step 11:

• Select "OK":

Step 12:

• Back in your JumpCloud Console, follow step 3, and provide the Passcode from your Duo Mobile app:

Step 13:

• Authentication Successful:

Step 14:

• Go to an app that requires you to MFA. When this screen comes up, select "Choose A Different Way":

Step 15:

• Select "Duo Security":

Step 16: 

• Verify your identity through a code sent to your cell phone number or another Duo Mobile-prompted way:
